About Us

The Queensland Cerebral Palsy Register (QCPR) is separate from all other services, research, and funding organisations. It includes data from people with cerebral palsy living throughout Queensland regardless of the organisations with which they may be associated.

A younger person is in a slight embrace with an older person who is sitting next to them. Both are smiling and looking directly at the camera. The image is placed on a bright green circle with smaller orange circles placed on top and around the people.

The Queensland Cerebral Palsy Register was established in 2005 to collect data on the population characteristics of people with cerebral palsy in Queensland.

The information we gather will be used to investigate the causes of cerebral palsy, find ways to prevent cerebral palsy, continually improve practice and interventions, and help to plan services.

The purpose of the QCPR is to collect, analyse, and present information that provides a picture of people with cerebral palsy in Queensland and to link those registrants who give consent with research projects they could participate in.

The QCPR forms part of the Australian Cerebral Palsy Register managed by the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

CPL – Choice, Passion, Life is the leading provider of integrated support, therapy, and advice for people living with a disability in Queensland and Northern New South Wales, and their families.

CPL work with clients at every stage of their lives and deliver the very best support, guidance, technology, and understanding possible.

Although the CPL research team manage the QCPR database and form part of the Australian CP Register, individual data or contact details provided through the CP Register is not shared with CPL or any service provider.
